How does your brain work?

I recently heard someone say that only a small percentage of people can see clear pictures in their minds. It made me think about all the different ways people think of things in their heads, and how we all process information a little differently. [Poll #1743917]

I'm really curious about people who think musically. I can't even begin to imagine what that must be like. I get songs stuck in my head sometimes, but I couldn't really say that I "think" musically.

I'm primarily a visual thinker with everything being an image in my head, but I think in words, too – spoken words – never spelled out like in a book or anything like that, but spoken clearly as in a conversation.

Painting

I put green leaves on the tree. I did a lot of other stuff too, but it's less obvious. Working on this painting has made me curse acrylic paint and I have made a solemn vow to myself that the moment this painting is finished I will go back to using oil paint.

Well, that decides it.

I just got out my oil paints and did this in 30 minutes with a single brush:

It's just an underpainting, but even so, I already like it WAY more than that awful acrylic painting I've spent weeks working on!
