Deux

Tonight's French class went well.
I arrived early again but this time was wise and took a seat in the back where I could see everyone and not feel so exposed or vulnerable. We reviewed what we did last week and then learned a couple new verbs, Avior (to have) and Etre (to be) and we practiced using them. I generally had fun and am begining to pick things up. My classmates are gradually becoming more friendly to me as well, (or at least I have found some nice ones in the bunch) so I don't feel so alone, either. Thank God.

It always makes me do a double take when I see him relaxing just as he does in his portrait.



Especially because the painting hangs on the wall above him.
