but
the warmer it gets, the sooner the invasion will occur:
"Researchers will be watching wooded areas around Chicago for the time when the body temperature of the buried ciccadas hits 64 degrees. Within hours, most of the brood will emerge from the soil and march up the trees to molt into adult insects."
