Back in '99 I was an extra in a Russian film, "Brat 2" ("Brother 2" in english). It was directed by Alexei Balabanov, the same guy who directed "Of Freaks and Men". Parts of Brat 2 were shot here in Chicago. The production team had seen me sitting in a cafe near where they were shooting and asked me to be an extra in a bar scene over at the Double Door, so I happily agreed. The movie was never released here in the U.S. because of political reasons (at least that is what I heard), so I've never actually been able to see it, but through the magic of YouTube I just found a promo for it.
