(no subject)

I haven't been this happy in years. There is a sense of freedom that I haven't known in recent memory and it feels so good. My life has potential and movement again. I've been painting with abandon, creating more work than I ever was able to before. It's shocking when I sit back and think about how I used to be so dead to the world. It feels good. I have my friends, my future and my art, and that is more than enough.

I tried to take photos of my recent paintings today but it was too dark out to get any good lighting. Maybe if the sun is out this weekend I'll be able to post some pictures.

Also - I am so glad fall is finally here.

The photo was taken in bad lighting conditions, but what the hell. The idea behind the piece was that the surface would be dull and boring, and the innards would be bright and colorful. Doesn't really come across in the photograph; that's fluorescent pink in there, paired with bright orange and green and silver.
