I'm moving March 1st to a converted storefront apartment! I just handed over the check. It's got 20' ceilings, a concrete floor, and a work sink in the back, very mad-scientist-y. It's zoned for both business and residential use, which is cool.

It's a great, big open space. By coincidence it's located in the building I lived in for 3 years on Chicago Avenue, the place I've regretted leaving ever since I moved out. I LOVE this building. It's so old, gritty and strange! I saw the space listed on craigslist yesterday, and was the first person to get in to view it, today at 1pm. The agent who showed it to me said that she'd received over 200 emails and calls about it since the post went up two days ago, but they couldn't show it to anyone because they'd just resurfaced the floor. I lucked out. Massively.
