The Kills show on Saturday night was great, but it was one of the opening bands, The Horrors, that stole the show for me. Atmospheric and dark, they had a great sound and stage presence to match.

Got a lot of painting in. I've been doing new things with the strips of paper before laying them down on the canvases; pressing them into wet painted surfaces so they become "printed", and using the dark oily stuff that rises to the top of the aluminum roof coating to make the strips look aged and chemically damaged.



And then there is the constant exploration of css and movable type. It's like a puzzle I can't put down, totally addictive, and I love the feeling I get when I'm learning something new and working towards something I am not entirely certain I can pull off.
