Chakras and trampolines
Jan. 2nd, 2013 03:17 pmIt's the second day of the year and I'm trying some new things out. I don't want to call them resolutions because no one ever keeps resolutions, so I feel I need to steer clear of that name.
I'm just trying some new things out to see if they work for me and have a positive impact. If not I'll shed them and try other things.
I've begun an elimination diet to determine if I have an allergy to any of the foods I'm currently eating. So no dairy, no gluten, no nuts etc. It's pretty spartan, but I'm okay with that. I really just want to figure out what's making me cough all the time.
When I got back from Scotland on New Year's Eve I was thrown into a thick fog of depression that I was sure I couldn't snap out of. It was one of those days where I couldn't even find the energy to get out of bed, and just lay there musing over the pointlessness of my existence and how damaged I am and wouldn't it be so much nicer to just end it all than try to keep going. With my last ounce of energy I put my headphones on and listened to a 40 minute guided chakra meditation, after which it was like night and day. I had energy again! Not only that, but the massive hole in my heart was stitched up and the weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I cleaned the entire place, made dinner, investigated yoga routines and scoured eBay for mini trampolines.
So fuck yeah I'll be meditating daily now.
I actually did source a trampoline on ebay and am going to pick it up after work today. The one on eBay is listed for 15€, whereas they go for about 50€ new. I'm feeling pretty good about that and am looking forward to bouncing around this evening.
Trying to decide if I should dye my hair or not. I think I will, actually, using indigo and henna. If it looks like crap I'll just let it fade out and not do it again.
Happy new year!
