alcippeI've got this painting almost wrapped up. Just need to finish the figure in the upper right corner and fix the skin tone around the girl's eye (it's too white - should be more shadowed):
I see these insects a lot lately and I've never seen them before:
They look like enormous wasps - about an inch and a half long (kinda like a cicada) and they hover around like bees. It's a little frightening, but sort of cool, too (I felt a little like I was risking my life getting up close to the thing, taking this picture). Does anyone know what they are?
