So I'm currently enrolled in a German class at the Goethe-Institut. It meets once a week on Tuesday evenings and is 2.5 hours long. We're going through everything really slowly, and it's pretty much just been a refresher for what I already know. The class only has two more weeks left, and then there's a summer break and classes pick back up in the fall. It kind of bummed me out that there would be such a long time where I couldn't take any classes, but then I found out that they offer an intensive summer class for three weeks, August 4 - 21. It meets 4 times a week for 2.5 hours, which is pretty damn intensive, but I think I'm going to do it. If I survive the intensive class there's a test I can take that will allow me to "live in Germany" because it will prove that I have an "elementary" understanding of German. Or something like that. Of course I don't want just an elementary understanding of the language - I want to have complete mastery of it! But baby steps. I'll get there.
