Yesterday, at my first personal torturer trainer session, the trainer gave me a workout regime that I am supposed to follow to improve my fitness level.
He told me I need to run an hour on the treadmill, along with a brutal number of sit-ups and reps on the weight machines, and that I am supposed to do this 2 to 4 times per week.
How in the world am I supposed to run an entire hour on the treadmill? I was feeling so very proud of myself for being able to do 30 minutes (which I can just bearly get through), and now I'm being asked to do twice as much.
Are there any runners out there that could give me some advice? Is there a secret trick to running for insane amounts of time?
I'm going to give it my best shot after work today because honestly, if I can actually DO everything he told me to do 4 times a week for the next 5 weeks (when my next check-in is) I KNOW I'll be in better shape than I am now. But Christ it's going to be painful.
