alcippeI've been feeling more and more like a corporate slave lately. In my free time I dream of a life where I am not stuck sitting at a desk 40 hours every week, tasked with creating graphics with the sole purpose of manipulating the emotions of consumers so they will purchase things they ultimately do not want or need. There has to be another way.
Tonight is creative-group-therapy night. Rose invited me to come over early to have dinner – wild mushroom risotto made from some of the mushrooms we found a few weeks back.
I am making my Thanksgiving Dinner on Sunday. No one here will know the difference, and it fits into everyone's schedule better seeing as we all have to work on Thursday. I'm going with a big veggie pot pie, bread stuffing, mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce. Desert will be apple crumble with vanille ice cream. I'm going to be busy this weekend, cooking and cleaning, but I'm sure it will be worth it. I have five guests that will be coming, and that's the max number of people I can accommodate (including myself). Six chairs, six plates, six sets of silverware, etc. I still need to get a couple extra drinking glasses... I currently only have four.
